Petrochemical Plant Engineering
Process engineering, plant layout, equipment procurement and commissioning across refinery, gas processing and chemical plant units — new build or relocation of an existing plant.
Engineering Scope
Unit-Level Downstream Engineering
Pan Ecotech engineers refining, gas processing and chemical facilities at the level of the individual process unit rather than the whole complex — one CDU train, one SRU, one PP line. Work is taken from feasibility study through to full commissioning, on a new build or on the relocation of an existing plant.
Petrochemical scope is offered as engineering capability, not as a delivered-plant reference. What an owner receives is a documented package — basis of design, process design package (PDP), P&ID set, plant layout and equipment specification — either taken to EPC tender by the owner, or carried by Pan Ecotech through procurement, commissioning and handover.
Where a process is licensed, we work from a third-party licensor's package: basis of design against the licence conditions, process design package, plant layout, and the utilities, offsites and interface engineering that sits outside the licensor's battery-limit scope.

Refinery & Gas Processing Units
Unit-level engineering across the crude, conversion and gas chain.
- CDU / VDU — crude and vacuum distillation
- FCC (fluid catalytic cracking), hydrocracking and hydrotreating
- NGL recovery, LPG fractionation and gas processing plants
- Gas treating and sulfur block — amine treating, sour water stripping (SWS), Claus sulfur recovery (SRU) and tail gas treating (TGTU)
- Lube base oil trains — solvent refining and hydroprocessing routes, API Group I / II / III (see Conversion Technology)
- Tank farm and terminal facility design
Chemical & Polymer Plants
Olefins, polymers, aromatics and basic chemical production.
- Steam cracking — naphtha, LPG or ethane feed; ethylene, with co-product propylene and C4s on naphtha and LPG feed
- Polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) polymerization
- Aromatics (BTX) extraction and separation from reformate or pyrolysis gasoline feed
- Methanol, ammonia and urea production facilities
Utilities, Offsites & Plant Systems (U&O)
Utility Systems
Steam, cooling water, instrument air and nitrogen supply — system design, specification and installation engineering.
Safety Systems
Emergency shutdown (ESD), fire and gas detection (F&G) and flare system design.
Piping & Pipe Rack
ISBL and interconnecting piping design, pipe rack structural engineering and stress analysis.
Environmental Systems
Emission control, wastewater treatment, noise and vibration mitigation.
Delivery Sequence
Feasibility Through Performance Verification
Feasibility & Basis of Design
Technical and cost feasibility, site and utility survey, feed and product basis, battery-limit conditions.
Process Design Package (PDP)
Process flow diagrams, heat and material balance, P&ID development, line sizing and hydraulic checks, equipment datasheets.
Plant Layout & Constructability
Equipment arrangement, safety spacing, space optimisation and constructability review.
Equipment Specification & Procurement
Datasheets, vendor enquiry, technical bid evaluation, procurement and inspection.
Commissioning
Cold and hot commissioning and operational testing of the completed unit.
Performance Verification
Agreed performance criteria verified on the running unit before final acceptance and handover.
Design Basis
Engineering is performed to the owner's project specification and the international standards applicable to each unit — ASME, API and IEC among them. The governing code set is fixed with the owner at basis-of-design stage.
